Subsonic Launch, 1st September, Burdekin.

With the 2012 edition of Subsonic Music Festival (December 7th, 8th and 9th) only 4 months away, it’s time to warm up your party pants and moisten your eardrums with the annual launch party – woohoo! Subsonic are taking over all 4 floors of The Burdekin for this super special occasion and have enlisted an abundance of classy talent to help us celebrate.

As a member of the Subsonic Music family and a dedicated lover of our sunny (most of the time) shores, Alexkid is making a special trip to Australia to help us launch the 2012 edition of the festival. If you were lucky enough to be in the Pizza Lab at last year’s festival when Alexkid closed the party with a rammed dancefloor, you’ll know exactly why we want him back again this year. If you missed out, we’re sure you’ll have a good time regardless.

The boys from Sweetchilli are back, Robbie Lowe, Daniel Crocetti and Tim Culbert, bring there distinctive sounds, that made sweetchilli events one of sydneys favorites events for the best part of a decade. The first of several special gigs for sweetchilli in 2012.

Low Society

with Garage Pressure, Max Gosford, HyperColour, and Gilsun b2b Kieran Hellmore

Born out of the Sydney free party scene and fueled by the legendary DSS Soundsystem, Low Society maintains a legacy as one of Sydney’s oldest dubstep and bassculture nights, having hosted some of the scenes biggest artists such as Babylon System, SPL, Icicle, Datsik, Broken Note, DZ, Foreign Beggars and Seven. Right from the early days at the Gladstone Hotel, Low Society captured the energy of an emerging scene as one of the first nights to showcase the harder sound of early dubstep. After a massive 2011, Low Society has taken a step back in 2012 to refocus and re-energize, but we feel the Subsonic Festival and Launch Party is a perfect excuse to come out of hibernation!

Subsonic Music

And to complete the 4-floor-madness we have Subsonic Music mainstays and favourites in the form of: MSG, Marcotix, Dave Stuart, Kimba, Kerry Wallace, Jordan Deck, Mike Witcombe and Jay Smalls
